Trommel screens are commonly used equipment in mineral processing. It is mainly used for the separation of materials with different particle sizes, and can also realize the classification of products to make the finished products evenly classified.

The trommel screen adopts a combined screen, which is convenient for maintenance and replacement.  And are the ideal equipment for the sand and gravel production line because of the simple structure, convenient operation, and stable operation.

According to different classification requirements, the classification of the drum screen is generally from fine to coarse to l~4 knots. The materials are screened from fine to coarse from the first section to the last section of the screen, and the materials larger than the last section of the screen are discharged from the discharge port.

When the trommel drum screen is working, the motor connects the reducer and the drum device through a coupling and drives the drum device to rotate around its axis. The materials are turned and rolled, and the materials are screened one by one through different meshes. The materials stuck in the screen holes can also be ejected to prevent clogging. Greatly improved the next sorting operation.

The drum screen can be divided into shaft trommel screen and shaftless trommel screen.

Structure

Trommel screen can be divided into three parts

1. Frame part

The frame is welded with excellent carbon steel plate and channel steel and has passed strict product qualification certification and specific process requirements.

2. Screening part

The combined screen is adopted, which is transmitted from the transmission wheel to the main shaft through the coupling. The screen is installed and welded on the drum of the main shaft. The material enters from the feed end, continuously rotates and grades in the drum, and is evenly discharged from the discharge port below. It effectively separates the finished product from the return material, thereby improving work efficiency.

3. Transmission connection part

The motor drives the pulley, triangle belt, and reducer to drive the main shaft to rotate. The transmission of the reducer and the host are driven by the pin-type coupling of the pin coupling, which is convenient for assembly and maintenance.

1. Unique screening principle

The wet material has large water content, and the use of a common vibrating screen will cause the material to stick to the screen, affecting the screening effect and service life. The rotary screen adopts the rolling conveying principle. The continuous tilting and rotation of the roller will cause the wet material on the screen surface to rotate and roll, and the material stuck in the screen hole can be discharged without blocking the screen hole.

2. Special self-cleaning device

The trommel drum screen can be equipped with a comb-type cleaning device. In the process of screening wet materials, the screen body is continuously washed by the relative movement of the comb-type cleaning device and the screen cylinder, so that the entire screen cylinder is always kept clean.
